Archery Premier League: first round robin completed in Delhi

The first phase of competition has been completed in the inaugural 2025 season of the Archery Premier League at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Delhi, India.

After kicking off on 3 October, the league has seen five nights of round-robin competition with all of the six teams playing every other team. The Rajputana Royals, featuring Mete Gazoz and Ella Gibson, are currently sitting unbeaten at the top of the table.

The Royals just edged out the Chero Archers in a tiebreak on 6 October to maintain their dominance, where Gibson, brought in solely for the shoot-off, was the only archer on either team to shoot a 10.

“I wasn’t expecting us to get down to a shoot-off and I was super nervous coming on stage just for that and not having a shot in a while, but I just tried to take a breath and do one arrow,” said Gibson.

On the same night, the whipping boys of the group, the Katakiya Knights, finally took a win, beating third-placed Chola Chiefs 5-3.
