An Argentina XV roster of the future has been named for the November 2025 Internationals. The Argentina next-of-XV will play two matches in Europe, facing Muster in Ireland and the Bristol Bears in England. The tour follows the July Internationals in which the Argentina XV defeated Brazil and Romania.
The team is coached by former Racing 92 and Pumas flanker Álvaro Galindo. El Tucumano has selected a 30-man roster to prepare for international duty against Munster and the Bristol Bears. The roster will assemble at Hindú Club in Buenos Aires from October 20-25 and will play a training match against Uruguay on October 23.
The roster is very different to that which toured Europe in 2022. The team that faced Portugal and Georgia three years ago included players who were already Pumas such as Ignacio Calles, Sebastián Cancelliere, Mateo Carreras, Facundo Gigena, Francisco Gorrissen, Tomás Lezana, Santiago Medrano, Lucas Mensa, Enrique Pieretto, and Santiago Socino.
The 2022 roster contained no shortage of players based in Europe. The 2025 roster is different; it is dominated by players from Super Rugby Americas. They will have the opportunity to press for higher selection. The 2022 roster notably contained uncapped players who are now Pumas such as Tomás Albornoz, Bautista Bernasconi, Martín Bogado, Franco Molina, Joaquín Oviedo, and Geronimo Prisciantelli.
The 2025 roster does not include European-based Pumas who have missed out on caps in 2025. Examples are Rodrigo Martínez (Dragons), Facundo Bosch (Bayonne), Santiago Medrano (Vannes), Lucio Sordoni (Montauban), Matías Alemanno (Gloucester), Rodrigo Bruni (Bayonne), Bautista Pedemonte (Vannes), Domingo Miotti (Montpellier), Jerónimo de la Fuente (Perpignan) and Martín Bogado (Oyonnax).
Juan Bautista Baronio is notably absent from the roster. The Dogos fly half was also not involved in July. He overtook Julián Hernández during Super Rugby Americas. Additional Super Rugby Americas names notably absent include Dogos fullback Mateo Sánchez, Yacare winger Julián Quetglas, Pampas center Bruno Heit, Tarucas second-rower Luciano Acevedo and Dogos N8 Genaro Fissore.
