Carlos Alcaraz and Arthur Rinderknech are facing for the fourth times in the US Open fourth round at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The Spaniard is the favorite to beat the Frenchman for the fourth time in as many encounters.
Rinderknech continues his unique Major journey, having already faced Jannik Sinner at Roland Garros and Alexander Zverev at Wimbledon. The Frenchman completed the circle by challenging world no. 2 in New York.
Arthur challenged Carlos at the US Open four years ago, falling in four sets after nearly three hours. Rinderknech has shown the ability to trouble the five-time Major winner in their previous encounters.

Their 2023 Queen's clash went down to the wire, with the young gun prevailing in the deciding tie break. They battled at Queen's again this June, and Carlos earned a 7-5, 6-4 win with two breaks on his tally.
The Spaniard is the favorite in their newest duel, hoping to extend his great run after reaching seven straight finals between Monte Carlo and Cincinnati. Yet, Rinderknech sees the test as an opportunity rather than a burden.
Having proven he can stand his ground against one of the world's best player, Arthur aims to brings his A-game and disrupt Carlos' rhythm with his powerful serve and aggressive approach.
For the Frenchman, this is a chance to measure himself against one of the world's most thrilling competitors. Arthur bested Alexander Zverev at Wimbledon and prepares for another good run against another rival from the top.

"I faced Jannik at Roland Garros and Alexander at Wimbledon. With the upcoming match against Carlos, I will play against all the top-3 players at the previous three Majors. I prefer to play them in the last 16 rather than in the first round.
I have played against Carlos a couple of times, and I know what I need to do to challenge him. It's a huge step, but I will not be intimidated. I will try to break through with my game and give my all.
I can not consider myself a favorite against him, but I have the same will and desire to chase the victory. It will be difficult against one of the two best players in the world.
He is almost unbeatable, but I have already managed to bother him in the past. I know I can show my skills," Arthur Rinderknech said.
