The schedule features the first-ever Neville Arena meeting between Auburn and Texas on Jan. 28, and Auburn will play its first game against Oklahoma in Norman on Feb. 24. The program also has home-and-home series set with Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss for the upcoming campaign.
Auburn will be on SEC title under Pearl, who’s succeeding his father, Bruce Pearl, as the program’s head coach. In the elder Pearl’s final season, the Tigers went 32-6, winning the SEC with a 15-3 record en route to clinching the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Tigers make good on their postseason status, beating Alabama State, Creighton, Michigan and Michigan State to head their second-ever Final Four, where they lost to eventual national champion Florida.
