by

AUBURN — Wide receiver Cam Coleman was one of four Auburn football players listed as questionable on the Tigers’ initial SEC availability report for its matchup with Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 1. (6:30 p.m. CT, SECN)

Coleman suffered an ankle sprain in the first quarter of Auburn‘s win over Arkansas last weekend. He eventually returned in the second half, and coach Hugh Freeze later said he was optimistic Coleman would try to play against the Wildcats.

When’s the next update? Explaining SEC’s weekly availability reports

The SEC posts multiple availability reports throughout the week heading into conference matchups, with initial reports required to be posted by 7 p.m. CT Wednesday. Additional reports arrive no later than 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday evening, with a final pregame availability report no later than 90 minutes before kickoff, meaning this week’s final report will come no later than 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to reporting policy, “probable” describes a player with at least 75% expectancy of playing, “questionable” means a player has a 50% chance of playing, and “doubtful” means a player is unlikely to play, or has a 25% chance of being available.

Availability reports don’t include details on injuries, nor additional context surrounding a player’s status.
