India National Cricket Team fast bowler Mohammed Shami is once again caught in a personal controversy, with his estranged wife Hasin Jahan making serious claims about their daughter’s future. In a bold Instagram post, Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife revealed that the Indian cricketer himself tried to ensure their daughter would not get admission to a good school.
However, the Indian cricketer’s 10-year-old daughter, Aaira, managed to get admission to a top international school. Hasin didn’t stop there, as she accused Shami of ignoring their daughter’s education and prioritizing the children of his mistress instead.

She claimed that Shami spends a lot of money on his mistress, from booking luxury business class flights to enrolling her kids in expensive schools, but refuses to support his own daughter Aaira’s schooling financially. She made these claims despite getting INR 4 lakh monthly alimony from Shami, including INR 2.5 lakh dedicated to their daughter’s expenses.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami was last seen in action in the 2025 IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The seasoned bowler had an ordinary season with the SRH, taking only six wickets in nine matches. Then, he was overlooked for the recent Test series against England.
Now, Shami is set to make a comeback in the domestic circuit with the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2025, where he has been named in the East Zone squad led by Ishan Kishan. The tournament is scheduled to begin on August 28, and Shami would be eager to make an instant impact.
