Jamall Emmers lost his original opponent for UFC Fight Night 264, but will remain on the card to face a new name.
Emmers (21-8 MMA, 4-4 UFC) was originally set to face Austin Bashi in a featherweight bout at the event taking place at the UFC Apex on Nov. 8. However, an injury forced Bashi (14-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) out, and he will now be replaced by Hyder Amil. MMA Junkie confirmed the change with two sources. The promotion has not yet made an official announcement.
Monday, Bashi revealed an undisclosed injury in an Instagram post, announcing he would not be able to compete in his third fight of the year.
Stepping up is Amil (11-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC), who will be looking to rebound from a first-round loss to Jose Delgado at UFC 317 – the first setback of his professional career. Emmers will be in search of back-to-back wins, entering after a first-round stoppage of Gabriel Miranda in March.
With the change, the UFC Fight Night 264 lineup includes:
- Gabriel Bonfim vs. Randy Brown
- Raoni Barcelos vs. Ricky Simon
- Jose Quinonez vs. Adrian Yanez
- Mayra Bueno Silva vs. Jacqueline Cavalcanti
- Hyder Amil vs. Jamall Emmers
- Luana Santos vs. Daria Zhelezniakova
- Christian Leroy Duncan vs. Marco Tulio
- Denise Gomes vs. Tecia Pennington
- Ismael Bonfim vs. Chris Padilla
