Becky Lynch Threatens Legal Action After Losing Women’s WWE IC Title on RAW at MSG

by

Becky Lynch isn’t taking her RAW loss lying down—and she’s already threatening to flip the script with a lawsuit.

The November 17 episode of WWE RAW at Madison Square Garden ended with Maxxine Dupri pulling off a shocking upset to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. It wasn’t clean either. Dupri capitalized on a surprise return by AJ Lee, who appeared at ringside to distract Lynch long enough for Maxxine to land a top-rope crossbody for the win. The crowd was stunned, but Becky Lynch was furious—and now she’s calling the entire match illegitimate.

In a video posted by Xavier Woods, Becky went off backstage about AJ Lee’s involvement and claimed the whole thing violated New York State’s athletic commission rules.

“No manager’s license, no manager,” Lynch said. “And we are in the state of New York, which has an athletic commission. Therefore, anybody that comes out through the curtain should be verified by the athletic commission. AJ Lee was not verified by the athletic commission. Therefore, clearly a rigged match. Therefore, vis a vis. Hence the following. I do not recognize the outcome of that match.”

Xavier Woods, standing with Kofi Kingston, backed her up on camera.

“We don’t either. We don’t either. And you shouldn’t either.”

Becky then took it a step further and threatened legal action to overturn the result.

“I’m actually going to start a petition. I’m going to get a lawsuit to overturn the results of this match.”

Woods was fully on board.

“Whatever you need from us… anything. We’ve got your back. Forever.”

This isn’t just a sore loser storyline—Becky Lynch is using every angle to claim the title was stolen from her, and her history with AJ Lee makes the situation even more personal. Their tension has been brewing since WrestlePalooza, where AJ made Lynch tap out in a mixed tag match. It looks like that beef is far from squashed.

Should Becky Lynch’s loss be overturned? Or did AJ Lee’s interference fall within the chaos of WWE? Drop your comments and let us know what you think should happen next.
