Tiffany Stratton has been turning heads since her arrival on WWE SmackDown, but while she may be adjusting to life as a babyface, it’s clearly not second nature just yet.
Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, the former NXT standout opened up about her struggles adapting to a good-guy role after spending most of her career playing the villain.
“I think being heel is ten times easier than being a babyface,” Stratton confessed during the conversation. “You can mess up, and you can fall on your butt, and that’s totally fine as a heel; however, as a babyface, if you do that, like the crowd could turn on you or you could get booed, and you’re supposed to be like the face of the company and stuff like that.”
Stratton explained that her foundation in wrestling was built on being a heel from day one—making this current babyface run an ongoing challenge:
“Being a heel for me is how I learned wrestling. I feel like I was a heel right off the bat. So that’s why it comes so easy to me.”
As she continues growing in front of WWE’s main roster audience, Stratton is focused on fine-tuning how she delivers promos and building likability with fans:
“I’m still learning to be a babyface and be likable and not have so much stink on what I say in my promos. So, it definitely comes more natural for me to be a heel.”
And while she’s giving this babyface experiment her all, don’t be surprised if the “Buff Barbie” flips the switch again:
“Bear with me. We’re learning. Maybe one day I’ll just go back to being a heel, but for now, we’re a little old babyface Tiffy.”
Stratton’s honesty about the growing pains of character work is a rare glimpse behind the curtain—and a reminder that connecting with fans isn’t always as glamorous as it looks on screen.
