Bernard Tomic had a funny moment following his Dallas Challenger qualifying opening win, joking that "the problem is my brain" before hilariously asking the crowd if anyone had advice for him.
The four-time ATP champion, who is currently ranked at No. 194 in the world, saw off Arora Krish 6-3 6-2 to reach the Dallas qualifying final round.
Following Tomic's win, Blair Henley asked the 33-year-old about the fact that he didn't give any rhythm to his opponent. The former world No. 17 confirmed that was the case on Saturday before adding: "But you forget that the problem is my brain." He then turned to the crowd and asked if anyone had a solution for that.
Bernie Tomic was a winner today in Dallas.
Asked about the fact that he doesn’t give opponents rhythm, and he said yes “but you forget that the problem is my brain.” I then asked if there was a solution for that, and he asked if anyone in the crowd could help. 🤣😭 pic.twitter.com/WFjZrMaSll

Who is Tomic's Dallas qualifying final-round opponent?
On Sunday, Tomic will return to the court to face world No. 141 Sho Shimabukuro. It will be the first meeting between the Australian and the Japanese, who is seeded at No. 4 in the Dallas qualifying event.
Meanwhile, before heading to the United States for a series of Challenger tournaments, Tomic tried to reach the Australian Open through qualifying and make his first Grand Slam main draw since 2021.
“It’s something that’s been a goal, to qualify at a Grand Slam again. To have a run at a Grand Slam, maybe at Wimby or here. I know I’m still good enough to compete with these top guys. It’s just a matter of the surface and the conditions, everything has to lay out for me," the 33-year-old said after beating Hugo Dellien in the Australian Open qualifying first round.
Unfortunately for Tomic, his wish of qualifying for the Australian Open wasn't fulfilled after he was beaten by Arthur Fery in the second round.
It remains to be seen if Tomic can beat Shimabukuro and qualify for the Dallas Challenger.
