The UConn women’s basketball team’s path to an NCAA Championship repeat in 2025-26 is set after the Big East released its complete schedule on Friday.
The Huskies will play 20 Big East games this season compared to 18 the past two years, facing each opponent for one matchup at home and one on the road. The team opens conference play at Xavier on Nov. 30, and plays its Big East home openers at Gampel Pavilion against DePaul on Dec. 7 and against Marquette at PeoplesBank Arena on Dec. 17.

UConn’s final game at Gampel Pavilion will be against Providence on Feb. 22, and it will host Georgetown for its last home game at PeoplesBank Arena on Feb. 26. The Huskies conclude their regular-season slate at St. John’s on March 1.
Tip times and TV information will be released at a later date.
UConn went undefeated in Big East play in 2024-25 for the second straight season, cruising to a 12th consecutive conference tournament championship. The Huskies have won the Big East regular-season title 24 times in their history including every season since rejoining the conference in 2020-21.
The Huskies also have a strong nonconference slate in 2025-26, which features 10 2025 NCAA Tournament teams and six who finished last season ranked in the AP Top 25. They will host five matchups at home, headlined by iconic rivalries against Notre Dame on Jan. 19 and Tennessee on Feb. 1.

The team also begins new home-and-home series with Florida State on Nov. 9 at Gampel Pavilion and Ohio State on Nov. 16 at PeoplesBank Arena. UConn’s biggest game on the road in nonconference play is an Elite Eight rematch against USC in Los Angeles on Dec. 13.
The Huskies enter this season as favorites to defend their 2025 NCAA Championship with Final Four Most Outstanding Player Azzi Fudd and WBCA Freshman of the Year Sarah Strong both returning alongside the majority of last year’s roster. UConn signed key additions out of the transfer portal in star Wisconsin forward Serah Williams and USC guard Kayleigh Heckel, and it also added three incoming freshmen led by No. 25 prospect Kelis Fisher.
