The Big Ten is reportedly once again changing the format for the men’s basketball conference tournament this upcoming season.
After only one season of the Big Ten’s new tournament format that included only the top 15 teams, the league will reportedly expand back to every team getting a chance. According to Matt Fortuna of The Inside Zone, the Big Ten will expand its conference tournament to include all 18 teams this year. This will only occur for the men’s basketball tournament, as the women’s tournament will remain at 15 teams.

Per Fortuna, coaches voted on the conference tournament format change.
The update to the men’s basketball conference tournament will result in an additional day of games this year. That means the conference tournament will begin on Tuesday, March 10 and run through Sunday, March 15.
