Jannik Sinner is through to his second consecutive Cincinnati Masters final. World no. 1 faced world no. 136 Terence Atmane in the semi-final and earned a 7-6, 6-2 victory in an hour and 26 minutes.
Thus, the birthday boy secured his 26th consecutive hard-court victory and advanced to his eighth Masters 1000 final, the second of the season from as many tournaments. Atmane enjoyed the run of his life in Cincinnati.
The Frenchman bested five rivals and notched two top-10 wins for a place in his first Masters 1000 semi-final. The 23-year-old showed why he went that deep in the opening set before losing ground in set number two.

Jannik claimed 18 points more than Terence, mainly thanks to the second set. The defending champion lost only three points behind the first serve and kept his second serve safe to keep his rival away from break chances.
Atmane struggled on the second serve but still fought well. A qualifier faced five break points in the second set and gave serve away two times to end his career-best journey and leave Cincinnati as a top-70 player!
Sinner landed 21 winners and 16 unforced errors. He forged the advantage from the baseline and took charge in the shortest exchanges up to four strokes. The servers were too strong in the opening set.

Both players kept everything under control in their games arranging a tie break after 37 minutes following Jannik's ace in game 12. A left-hander hit a double fault in the first point and fell behind.
He sprayed a forehand mistake in the third point and propelled world no. 1 3-0 in front. Atmane netted a forehand after an extended rally in game six, and Sinner embraced a serve & volley combo for 5-2.
The Italian grabbed another mini-break in the ninth point for 6-3 and seized the second set point at 6-4 with a service winner to wrap up the first part of the duel in 46 minutes.

Jannik held at the beginning of the second set after multiple deuces. He served better in the third game and moved 2-1 in front before making a push on the return in the next one.
The Italian attacked and painted a forehand winner on the second break chance to forge a 3-1 lead and move closer to the finish line. They served well in the next three games, and the defending champion landed a forehand winner in the seventh for 5-2.
Sinner created three match points on the return in game eight and converted the third with a deep return that propelled him into his fifth final from six tournaments in 2025.
