Anna Blinkova has developed a reputation as a polyglot and she didn’t let the Jianxi fans down on Sunday as she addressed them in Chinese. She didn’t let her fans down either, as she powered past 17-year-old Lilli Tagger to claim the Jianxi Open title, 6-3, 6-3.

Blinkova delivered in the clutch, winning the final four games of the opener and the final three games of the second set to clinch her title.
The world No.95 saved seven of nine break points, and claimed her first title since 2022 without dropping a single set. She is up to No.63 in the WTA live rankings.
Tagger, this year’s Roland-Garros girls singles champion, is up to a career-high ranking of 155 in the live rankings.
