The 2025 BMW Championship marks the final stop before the Tour Championship and the last opportunity for the PGA Tour’s top players to secure a place on this year’s Ryder Cup team.

Once again serving as the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, this year’s tournament returns to Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland. Last year, Keegan Bradley  now the U.S. Ryder Cup captain won the BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club outside Denver by a single stroke, having entered as the last man to qualify.

THE COURSE

Caves Valley Golf Club, located is known for its challenging layout and scenic beauty. The course features 18 holes uniquely designed to blend with the natural environment, offering a test of skill and strategy for the players.

Only the top 50 players in the FedEx Cup standings after last week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis will tee it up when play begins Thursday, August 14.

By Sunday, August 17, that field will be cut to the top 30 in points, who will advance to the Tour Championship at East Lake in Georgia beginning August 21. Caves Valley last hosted the BMW Championship in 2021, when Patrick Cantlay edged Bryson DeChambeau in a playoff.
