Bret Hart Pulls Out of Convention Featuring Goldberg

by

Bret Hart and Bill Goldberg’s real-life tension has never gone away, and now fans are speculating whether it played a role in Bret’s latest move.Hart was scheduled for Wrestling With Character LIVE in November with stops in Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut. But the WWE Hall of Famer has now officially pulled out of those appearances, leaving fans disappointed. Hart explained the reason in a statement, citing personal matters at home.

“It pains me, but I’m going I have to reschedule my northeastern United States dates this November, a combination of unexpected and unavoidable commitments at home have left me unable to attend. I hope to see all my fans on the east coast this coming spring.”

On the surface, it sounds like a scheduling issue — but here’s the twist: Goldberg is also booked for the same convention. Fans immediately began connecting the dots, questioning if Bret’s absence has more to do with avoiding Goldberg than personal commitments.

The two men have had bad blood since Starrcade 1999, when Goldberg’s infamous kick ended Bret’s in-ring career. Decades later, Hart still brings it up in interviews, making it clear he has no forgiveness for Goldberg.

Even without Hart, the show will go on. Wrestling With KROSS is set for Sunday, November 16, at H.C. Wilcox Technical High School in Meriden, Connecticut. Names like Killer Kross & Scarlett Bordeaux, Dijak, Mercedes Martinez, The Mountie, and another WWE Hall of Famer are all set to appear.

Still, the absence of Bret Hart — especially with Goldberg on the card — has only fueled speculation that the wounds from 1999 are still too deep to heal.
