LOS ANGELES — The Brewers took the third and final game over the Dodgers on Sunday the same way they took every game this weekend: they simply out-competed L.A. in their 6-5 win.
What was originally anticipated to be a throwback old-school type of pitching matchup between Jose Quintana and Clayton Kershaw derailed quickly after the Brewers’ offense took advantage of bad defense behind the three-time Cy Young winner. The Dodgers had three errors in the game, two of which came in the Brewers’ three-run rally in the top of the fourth inning that tied the game.
The Brewers have now won 10 games in a row, the fourth team to do so in 2025. It’s also just the third time in the Wild Card Era that Milwaukee has won at least 10 straight. They’ve swept the Dodgers twice in the last two weeks, outscoring them 31-15 over their six matchups.
And with the Cubs’ loss to the Red Sox earlier on Sunday, the Brewers now own a share of first place in the NL Central.
