Nick Hogan filed a lawsuit against Bubba the Love Sponge so that he could block the release of his upcoming Hulk Hogan documentary. However, it seems Brooke Hogan will still attend the premiere of the documentary despite the lawsuit.
According to TMZ Sports, Brooke Hogan will be attending the premiere of Bubba The Love Sponge’s Hulk Hogan documentary in Tampa, Florida, even though her brother Nick is currently suing Bubba over the project.
Brooke explained that her decision to attend comes down to loyalty, saying Bubba was like “Uncle Bubba” to her and Nick, and that he had been a true friend who helped their family a lot over the years.
Brooke also said she has already seen the documentary and believes it tells the real story of how her father’s sex tape was stolen and leaked. According to Brooke, the film shows the truth in a respectful way and even clears Hulk of wrongdoing, while showing the failures of the system that allowed those responsible for the leak to go unpunished.
“He helped our family a TON over the years and I know he was a true friend to my dad. My brother and I knew him as ‘Uncle Bubba.’
The truth is, neither my dad OR Bubba wanted this tape to get out — it was stolen — and that’s what the documentary is about,” Brooke said. “If anything, it vindicates my dad and shows what a crime this was, and how jacked up the system is that allowed the people that stole it to walk free.”
Brooke Hogan admitted that the situation was heartbreaking because it ended Bubba and Hulk Hogan’s friendship, which she said was damaged due to public image concerns.
“What’s sad,” she continued, “is that it broke their friendship apart because certain parties wanted to maintain certain public images.”
Nick Hogan argued that the documentary infringes on copyrights and violates a 2012 settlement agreement. While the court has allowed Bubba to move forward with the release, the judge ruled that he cannot include any footage from the sex tape, at least for now. Regardless, we’ll have to see how the whole situation will be dealt with in the end.
