Regarding her commitment, she said:

β€œI am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to West Virginia University to continue my athletic and academic career. I would like to thank Coach Brent MacDonald and the rest of the West Virginia coaching staff for their time and belief in me throughout the recruiting process. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Mountaineer Family. I would also like to thank Coach Kyle and Coach Julia for your guidance at SSC and developing me into the swimmer I am today. I would finally like to thank my parents, family, and friends for all the support and encouragement they have shown me throughout the years. None of this would be possible without you. I can’t wait to be able to represent WVU in the next chapter of my story. Country roads take me home! #HailWV”
