Rated a three-star prospect, per 247 Sports’ Composite rating, and the 31st best recruit in the state for 2026, Eka chose the Cougars over offers from a collection Mountain West Conference/soon to be Pac-12 schools, as well as a few Big Sky programs.
Included in that group were San Diego State, Utah State, UNLV and San Jose State.
Listed at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, Eka has been a productive running back for most of his high school career, rushing for over 1,000 yards in both his sophomore and junior seasons and a combined 24 touchdowns across the two years.
As a senior this year, however, Eka is blowing his previous production out of the water.

Through five games, per the Deseret News’ high school sports statistical database, Eka has rushed for nearly 500 yards, averaging just under 100 yards per game. He has also rushed for eight touchdowns.
Whats more, he has become a real weapon in the passing game too, with 200 receiving yards and two touchdowns, putting him on pace to obliterate career highs of 333 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a season, marks he set as a junior last year.
Eka is the first running back to commit to BYU for ‘26, joining other offensive players like Ryder Lyons (QB), Brock Harris (TE), Bott Mulitalo (OL), Ty Goettsche (TE), Kaue Akana (WR), Jax Tanner (OL), Parker Ord (TE) and Graham Livingston (WR).
