Another Kevin Young recruiting win is official.
Top junior college recruit KJ Perry has officially signed with BYU basketball, the program announced Wednesday.
Perry was originally reported to have committed to the Cougars in October, choosing BYU over competing offers from other programs such as Kansas, Oregon, TCU and more.

“KJ is a dynamic guard who can score it, create for his teammates and bring real athleticism to our backcourt,” Young said in a statement. ”We love his competitiveness, his confidence and the edge he plays with every possession. He’s going to make us better the moment he steps on campus — pushing our guards in practice and then stepping in as a playmaker in our backcourt.”
A 6-foot-2 guard, Perry spent his freshman year at Citrus College in southern California, where he averaged 17.5 points per game and shot 49.5% from the field and 34.7% from 3-point range.
BYU said Perry will join the program in December.
