There’s clearly no love lost between Phoenix Mercury forward DeWanna Bonner and the Indiana Fever.
After Bonner unexpectedly left the team in June after signing as a free agent with Indiana in the offseason, hard feelings seem to have brewed between Bonner and the team she departed out of nowhere over the summer.

Well, Fever guard Caitlin Clark, even though she hasn’t been playing, got into a war of words with Bonner on the court in Phoenix on Tuesday night, seemingly over whether or not a play was a foul.
The argument heated to the point where Clark waived Bonner off dismissively as the latter walked back to her bench. We’re not entirely sure just how much animosity Clark and Bonner have between each other, if any at all, but this brief flair-up does hint to some bad blood between Bonner and her former Fever teammates.
We’ll probably never know exactly the full context of what was going on here, but this particular interaction definitely turned heads during the Mercury’s win on Tuesday night.

Do the Fever and Mercury play each other again this season?
They do not. Tuesday was the last game of the regular season between the two. Unless there’s a playoff series between the two teams, this was it for 2025.
