Caitlin Clark Makes Post After Offseason Move Outside WNBA

by

Caitlin Clark had a forgettable second season with the Indiana Fever in 2025. After an unprecedented campaign as a rookie last year, the Iowa Hawkeyes legend battled through injuries throughout 2025, resulting in just 13 games played throughout the campaign. In September, the Fever announced that Clark would miss the remainder of the WNBA season due to a groin injury.

Since then, Clark has been working behind the scenes to get her body right. This is in anticipation of her return to the court when the 2026 season starts in May. At this point, Clark’s groin is healthy enough for her to take part in an offseason sporting event outside the WNBA.

For a second year running, Clark participated in the pro-am that precedes one of the most highly anticipated LPGA events of the season, THE ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club.

Clark made waves at the pre-tournament event last year, and the same was the case for the former WNBA Rookie of the Year on Wednesday. She even brought along Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull as special caddies for the event.

On Thursday, Clark took to Instagram to share photos from her offseason decision to participate in the high-profile golfing event. She included a statement referencing Cunningham and Hull.
