Caitlin Clark’s Powerful Message Captures WNBA Fans’ Attention on Tuesday

by

The Indiana Fever’s season came to an end after a remarkable run to the WNBA semifinals, despite missing several key players, including star point guard Caitlin Clark, who suffered a season-ending groin injury prior to the All-Star break.

Clark appeared in just 13 games for the Fever, but even in that limited time, she was named an All-Star and served as one of the two team captains alongside Minnesota Lynx superstar Napheesa Collier.

While it certainly wasn’t Clark’s ideal sophomore campaign, her mission remains unchanged: to bring the Fever back to prominence as one of the premier teams in the sport. On Tuesday, as Indiana shared personal posts for every player on the roster, a powerful quote from Clark surfaced that captured fans’ attention:

“I wanna be the best. I wanna be the best there ever was,” Clark said. “I wanna make this team the best WNBA team there’s ever been, but I also want to win for my teammates. I want to win for this franchise.”

Fans reacted to Clark’s comments:

“When it’s all said and done, she’ll be the greatest ever. Invest now,” a fan said.

Someone else added, “Never been so addicted to watching an athlete play a sport in my entire life! She will be the best when it’s all said and done I have NO DOUBT!!”

Another person wrote, “She is the game!!”

“CC is the most dynamic player today!!” A fan shared.

One more fan commented, “This is why I say she got that Jordan & Kobe mentality! I know next season 2026 is about to be a movie! A lot of people going to be eating their words! LETS GOO CC.”

Caitlin Clark is expected to return to full 5-on-5 activities very soon, a positive sign for her rehab. She is also set to compete once again in The Annika LPGA Pro-Am golf tournament, hosted by golf legend Annika Sorenstam—another encouraging indicator that she’s starting to feel like herself again.

She is aiming to make a full recovery with more than enough time for the start of training camp next WNBA season, ready to hit the ground running and help the Fever build on an impressive postseason run.
