Sheedy faces plenty of competition, though the contest to claim the Wales fly-half jersey remains open.
Ospreys’ Dan Edwards was the most recent incumbent, having played at 10 when Wales ended their 18-Test losing run in Japan this summer.
Scarlets pair Sam Costelow and Joe Hawkins, as well as Harlequins’ Jarrod Evans and even veteran Gareth Anscombe, in France, will all have designs on the shirt.
But none of those players has the advantage of working side-by-side in training with former Wales star Leigh Halfpenny, who joined Cardiff in the summer and is offering support in a coaching capacity while he recovers from injury.
“Working with Leigh is every Welsh kicker’s dream,” Sheedy said.
“I roomed with him when we were away in Munster and was probably like a competition winner, keeping him up until about 2am asking a million questions.
“He’s an unbelievable person, and it’s great to learn from someone like him -probably one of, if not the best.”
