Cam Thomas is “increasingly interested” in signing a $6 million qualifying offer from the Brooklyn Nets, sources told Jake Fischer of The People’s Insider.
The 23-year-old would then be an unrestricted free agent next summer.
The Nets have not made any aggressive attempts to keep Thomas on a long-term deal.
The team thus far has offered Thomas a deal in the range of two years and $14 million. Thomas is looking for a contract in the range of $30 million per season.
Thomas averaged 24.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists last season.
