Cameron Young opens up about conversations with Keegan Bradley ahead of Ryder Cup

by

Cameron Young is a name that has been mentioned more and more by the media, as one of the strong candidates who will strengthen Keegan Bradley's team. There are still many doubts and unclear things when it comes to the next edition of the Ryder Cup.

The public expects that Young could have a place in the team, but the American golfer is not sure what the future holds for him.

After the second round of one of the tournaments, Cameron Young revealed that he had spoken with Keegan Bradley.

He openly told the captain of the American team how much he wants to be part of the team, but he is aware that a lot depends on him and his performances.

Therefore, he is determined to finish the story at East Lake in the right style or possibly win.

“Yeah, a lot. I’ve been saying for the last bunch of weeks now that my goals were get here and get there, to the Ryder Cup. I’ve done part one, and part two I think involves some good golf here. I’ve just got to do my best to keep that up over the next couple days and see what I get out of it,” Young said.

Cameron Young on Keegan Bradley

Cameron Young had a word of praise for Keegan Bradley, happy with how open Bradley is and how easy he is to talk to. However, he is aware that the captain of the American team does not have everything in his hands, aware that if he plays badly, he can significantly spoil his chances of appearing in this competition.

The next two days at East Lake could be crucial for Young, a golfer who has shown many times this season that he really has the potential to make it big.

However, the competition in the American team is fierce, so he will have a really difficult task to gain the trust of Keegan Bradley and play on Bethpage Black.

“Yeah, he’s been incredibly encouraging to me. He’s obviously watching everybody very closely, and he’s been very kind to reach out and show some enthusiasm and some support when I’ve played well. But yeah, I know he’s got a lot on his plate, so I don’t expect a ton from him.

“But he’s been very nice to me, and I appreciate any consideration he’s given me to putting me on that team.”
