For years, we’ve all said it in every other sport, Major League Baseball, for the NHL, for every playoff.
It’s not a series until somebody loses at home, right?
So, I guess the question is tonight can Phoenix keep it a series?
So, we’ve got two games in Phoenix, and if you think that this can be a series, a legitimate back-and-forth games, you know, six to seven game series, then you believe that Phoenix can take both games at home.
I don’t believe that.
I do think that Phoenix will take one game at home.
In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Phoenix takes this game tonight, just with the momentum of, okay, we’re back at home, you know, this is a team that’s been incredibly scrappy in the postseason, that they could be down double digits.

They, they trailed by 16 to Naismith Collier.
In the Minnesota Lynx in the last round of the WNBA postseason, and they came back to win it in overtime.
Like they’ve had so many comeback wins when their backs were against the wall, they were able to find a way.
And Alyssa Thomas, their leader, one big part of their big three, told me that’s the position that they love to be in.
They love to get that kind of momentum.
To never feel like they can be counted out, that even if they’re down 20 at halftime, they can scratch and claw their way back.
So that is the mentality of this team, the chip on their shoulder, the grittiness.

So, I do think that being down two nothing maybe wouldn’t do as much mentally to this team as maybe it could, a team that’s as inexperienced as this one, just because Alyssa Thomas does have so much postseason experience away from Phoenix, but she, you know, she’s been here before.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Phoenix takes this game tonight, but I, I think that the Aces’ mindset is incredibly dangerous.
They have won two of the last three championships for a reason.
They have a championship mindset.
They hold each other accountable.
They have the depth.
It’s not just the MVP right there in Asia Wilson, it’s Dana Evans, it’s Chelsea Gray, it’s Jackie Young that can provide supplementary rebounding and supplementary scoring, scoring off the bench.

So while I do think Phoenix can take at least one game, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was tonight.
I think that Vegas is gonna be able to take at least one game on the road, and coming back to Vegas, you know, that’s dangerous.
Up 3-1, all it takes is one win at home to take the series.
So I don’t think this ultimately will be a 6 or 7 game series, but hey, Phoenix, proved me wrong.
