World No. 1 Alcaraz was seated on celebrity row when he came face-to-face with Burnie, the Miami Heat famed mascot.

In less than two weeks time, Alcaraz will take the court at the home of the Miami Marlins.

The Miami Invitational to be held December 8th will be the first ever tennis event at the home of the Miami Marlins, providing the unique and historic tennis competition at a ballpark.

The event will feature four of the world’s top tennis players: Alcaraz facing rising Brazilian star João Fonseca marking their first-ever meeting and a second-round showdown of Amanda Anisimova and Jessica Pegula. Anisimova was born in Freehold, N.J., while Pegula is a Buffalo native. Both women now call Florida home.

Miami Heat fans embraced Alcaraz, who defeated Casper Ruud to win his third career title at the Miami Open, with a rousing ovation. Burnie presented Alcaraz with his own personalized Miami Heat jersey, beating No. 99 and Alcaraz celebrated flashing a peace sign to fans.
