Carlos Alcaraz gives huge clue about his presence at the Davis Cup Finals

by

2025 has been the best season of Carlos Alcaraz's young career so far, considering that he has already won seven titles showing impressive consistency from the spring onwards.

The Spanish ace has won two Grand Slam titles (Roland Garros and US Open) and three Masters 1000 titles, recovering the first position in the ATP ranking also thanks to the three-month ban suffered by his huge rival Jannik Sinner between February and May. The 22-year-old from Murcia defeated the Italian star in the US Open final just over two weeks ago and has shown that he has grown in all respects, as evidenced by the fact that he lost only one set at Flushing Meadows and suffered only three breaks during the entire tournament.

Carlitos has a very good chance of remaining No.1 until the end of this year, as his huge rival will have to defend many more points than him between now and November. With the exception of the trophy lifted in Beijing, Alcaraz had not shone in the last part of the season last year and had already been eliminated in the round robin at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin.

Alcaraz also wants the Davis Cup

In recent days, fans have been persistently wondering whether or not the Spaniard intends to participate in the Davis Cup Finals scheduled in Bologna in November. The new world No.1 missed the tie against Denmark in Marbella because he needed to recharge his batteries after the US Open, but his compatriots made up for his absence by making a sensational comeback from 0-2 to 3-2.

In a conversation with Spanish basketball legend Pau Gasol, the six-time Grand Slam champion confided that he would love to be present in Bologna: "First of all there are the ATP Finals in Turin and then the Davis Cup Finals. If I'm at the top of my shape, I'd like to try to achieve both of these goals."

In the last edition of the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga, Spain was eliminated by the Netherlands in the quarterfinals.
