CBS Sports has released their bold predictions for every program featured in the way-too-early top-25 rankings, per Cody Nagel.
The Georgia Bulldogs are currently ranked as the No. 3 overall team in the country prior to the 2026 campaign. Nagel’s bold prediction for the Dawgs would make college football history should it come true, as the analyst predicts the Bulldogs will win their third SEC championship in a row next season.

Both Alabama and Florida are recognized as the only teams to ever win three or more consecutive SEC championships in the 34-year history of the game, as Georgia finds themselves in prime position to become the third team in SEC history to achieve the accolade.
The Dawgs will have a plethora of talent on both sides of the football entering the 2026 campaign. Georgia is widely regarded as the favorite to win the SEC championship, as head coach Kirby Smart and his staff continue to dominate the conference year after year.

The Dawgs will kickoff the 2026 season against Tennessee State on Sept. 5th Georgia will look to make yet another mark on SEC history. Georgia and the rest of the SEC will play nine games for the first time in conference history in 2026, so winning the SEC will be harder than ever.

Georgia has made a number of changes to the coaching staff this offseason. Former Auburn tight end Jalen Harris has officially been promoted to the assistant wide receiver coach.
The Bulldogs return a strong roster including quarterback Gunner Stockton, running back Nate Frazier and safety KJ Bolden.
