Cellan slings 4 TDs as Billings Senior downs Great Falls High football

BILLINGS – Severan Cellan threw for four touchdowns and the defense created three turnovers as the Billings Senior football team took down Great Falls High 31-19 in an Eastern AA contest Thursday, Oct. 16, at Daylis Stadium.

The Bison (2-5 overall, 2-4 conference) held the Broncs to -6 yards rushing but Cellan slung it for 265 yards on 25-for-33 passing.

Great Falls High took the lead 13-10 in the second quarter as Bladen Madel returned a kickoff 87 yards to the house, but Cellan completed scoring drives with tosses to Deagan Lehfeldt and Paeton Swain as Senior took a 24-13 lead at the break.

The Broncs padded the lead with Cellan finding Swain again for a 26-yard touchdown to create enough of a cushion for the victory.

Swain led all receivers with 10 catches for 110 yards, while Lehfeldt snagged eight balls for 64 yards and two scores.

Madel led the Bison on the ground with 65 yards and an eight-yard touchdown, while quarterback Tristan O’Leary was 6-for-13 passing for 101 yards and a score to Teek Pulliam on top of three interceptions.

Great Falls High, now holding the sixth-and-final playoff seed in the conference, finishes out the regular season at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 at Memorial Stadium for the crosstown game against C.M. Russell High.
