The Auburn Tigers did not win the race for five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho early in the summer, but there is a chance for a flip.

At least that is what Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong thinks, as he is keeping a close watch on Auburn to flip the recruit from the Oregon Ducks. Iheanacho committed to the Ducks on July 3 and is one of their four five-star commits from the 2026 class.
The Tigers were connected to another potential flip recently, with Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman predicting they would land UNLV commit Isaiah Broughton. Isaiah’s brother, Vernon, played for the Texas Longhorns last season and is now in the NFL.

“Oregon grabbed a July 3 commitment from offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, but the nation’s No. 6 prospect could potentially take some visits during the fall,” Wiltfong said. “I still have an eye on Auburn here, though. The Tigers have always been one of Iheanacho’s favorites and they maintain communication.”

Iheanacho is the No. 6 overall player and No. 2 offensive tackle in the Rivals Industry Rankings for the 2026 class.
Auburn has kept in touch with the prospect, visiting three times thus far. The Tigers’ latest visit with Iheanacho was on June 6.
With the 2025 college football season on the horizon, the first USA TODAY Coaches Poll was released on Monday, but Auburn was not featured in the top 25, creating confusion among fans.
The SEC had the most schools make the poll, with nine different programs falling inside the top 25.

Landing a recruit of Iheanacho’s talent would save Auburn’s struggling 2026 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 56 overall on On3 Sports.
