The July 22 episode of WWE NXT went down in a big way, with a special venue. This week’s location was the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas. This week was a special episode, because we saw an exciting singles debut.
Pro wrestling fans were very excited when they saw Mariah May sign with WWE. She soon became Blake Monroe, and this week saw her first singles match for the company.
Wren Sinclair was Blake Monroe’s opponent, and although she received an amazing pep talk from the NQCC, she had a huge uphill battle ahead of her. Naturally, Blake Monroe was not about to go easy on her.
This match carried on for a bit, with a couple near falls, Wren Sinclair fought hard, but Blake Monroe maintained control throughout most of the contest. Eventually, Monroe closed out the match with a DDT for a clean win. After the match, Jordynne Grace, who wants revenge on Monroe, jumped over the barricade and tried to attack Blake. WWE officials stopped her, and then Monroe nailed a DDT onto a steel chair at ringside.
Blake Monroe made her WWE debut on July 12, 2025, at NXT The Great American Bash. Teaming with Jordynne Grace, she scored a victory over Fatal Influence. This was her first singles match, and she’s off to a good start.
