Charley Hull is always an interesting face on the golf scene, and the future of this female golfer is an equally interesting topic in golf circles. Her controversial decisions and statements often attract reactions from the public, and the media use every moment to get new information about her future and goals.
Before the start of another tournament, the AIG Women's British Open at Royal Porthcawl, Hull shared her frustrations, admitting that she had lost four kilograms in the last three weeks.
Hull reveals that her game is not at its peak, aware of the importance of this tournament.
"I'm not hitting it the best coming into this week," said Hull, "which is very frustrating because it's an event I've been looking forward to playing all year. I've just got to go out there with what I've got."
Charley Hull talks about difficult part of her career
The 29-year-old looked back on a somewhat difficult part of her career, more precisely on her performance at the Amunda Evian Championship in France, when she got a severe virus and had to leave the course in the second part of the round.
The English golfer pointed out that the situation was quite tense, not knowing what it was about.
Although she rested in the previous weeks, Hull is still not completely ready.
"Every time I stood up, I fainted," said Hull, as quoted by Yahoo.
"That's why I to had to get a stretcher out, off, which was quite embarrassing, but there you go. Caught on IV drip on me. They took my blood pressure. It was 80/50 which is quite low. My blood sugar was 0.4. I think I just had a really bad virus."
Talking about her mindset and goals, Charley stressed that she has the confidence that is necessary to make it a success. In some periods of her career, she knew how to return to the game even when things did not go her way, and such moments give additional confidence.
This tournament will be an ideal chance for her to regain the confidence she needs.
