Chelsea Green might’ve played it off with jokes and diva demands—but her injury turned out to be more serious than expected.
On February 11, 2026, Green took to Instagram to deliver a dramatic update, revealing that she actually suffered a broken ankle—despite earlier reports claiming it was just a sprain or bruise. The news came via her self-published “𝕮𝖍𝖊𝖑𝖘𝖊𝖆 𝕮𝖍𝖗𝖔𝖓𝖎𝖈𝖑𝖊,” styled like a faux newspaper headline, where she wrote:
“Ankle breaks, spirit prevails. Nation watched in horror as resilient President finished wrestling match on live TV.”
The post also included an X-ray of her ankle, confirming the break and putting rumors to rest. It’s a contrast to Green’s recent tweet just days prior, where she demanded a tuxedoed assistant and a back-warmed wheelchair for SmackDown.
“‼️ @WWE mgmt ‼️ Per your negligence on Friday, I will be sending a list of demands for this upcoming SmackDown,” she wrote on February 9.
While initial coverage from PWInsider and Wrestling Observer suggested a manageable injury with no long-term layoff expected, the confirmed fracture may now change those expectations. No timeline has been provided yet, but it’s safe to assume Green will be off her feet longer than anticipated.
The injury took place just before the February 7 episode of AAA on FOX, where she appeared in a walking boot and was unable to defend the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships with Ethan Page. The titles were instead awarded to Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana in a backstage segment.
Still, even injured, Chelsea Green isn’t slowing down. Her Instagram proves she’s turning a painful moment into a performance—and staying in control of the narrative as only the PatrioHOT can.
