The Chicago Sky (7-17) are preparing to host the Indiana Fever (13-12) in their next WNBA game, with the franchises clashing on Sunday afternoon. The Fever are expected to be without Caitlin Clark and will face a motivated Angel Reese and Sky, who will be looking to put on a strong performance.

The Sky are coming off a one-sided 95-57 loss at the hands of the Seattle Storm. Reese was sidelined for that loss with a back injury. While she’s still questionable for Sunday’s game, the Sky have made an exciting announcement relating to Reese for the Fever game.

The franchise will be going through with its ‘Barbie Game Day’ promotion, as revealed on X. The franchise is encouraging fans to wear pink to the arena and used Reese for the promotion of the event despite her current injury status. Reese is also known as the “Bayou Barbie.”

Chicago Sky, Angel Reese Status Update For Game Against Indiana Fever

Angel Reese last played for the Sky against the Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday, putting up 11 points and 11 rebounds in a 91-68 loss. She played through a back injury in that game, which wound up sidelining her for the game against the Storm.

Sky head coach Tyler Marsh shared an update on Reese’s status Thursday night, revealing that her availability for the Fever game is dependent on how she’s feeling on Sunday morning.

“Angel is day-to-day,” Marsh said. “Pretty sore this morning and didn’t want to mess with it being a back issue. We’ll see how she is on Sunday.”

The game will be a Sky home game and take place in Chicago’s United Center at 3 p.m. ET on ABC.
