The highest-ranked squad to fall this week was No. 3 Oregon, which lost its first regular season Big Ten game since joining the conference in 2024. A huge 30-20 victory for the is set to alter the top portion of this week’s rankings — but that wasn’t the only significant result.

Michigan (31-13 loss to USC), Iowa State (24-17 loss to Colorado) and Florida State (34-31 loss to Pitt) were among the AP Top-25 squads to fall in Week 7. In the Red River Rivalry, Arch Manning and Texas came through with a much-needed 23-6 victory, something to build off for the Longhorns. And elsewhere, while Penn State had already fallen from the polls following its defeat to UCLA, the Nittany Lions’ struggles continued with a home loss to Northwestern.

How will those results shape this week’s rankings? Here are the latest NCAA polls after Week 7 of the 2025 college football season.
