College football is officially back. Well, at least a little taste test this weekend.
Week 0 action is set to take place on Saturday afternoon, with five games on the docket for college football fans to take in. None of the Big Ten teams will be part of Week 0 this season, with all 18 teams making their season debuts next week. That includes Michigan State, who opens the 2025 season on Friday against Western Michigan.

As we’ve seen the last few years, the marquee game of Week 0 will take place across the pond with a fun Big 12 rivalry battle between Iowa State and Kansas State. That is the first game of the year with kickoff from Ireland scheduled for 12 p.m. ET on ABC.
Check out below the complete viewing guide for the Week 0 action and also my three must-watch favorite games of the week.

My Three Favorite Games This Weekend
Kansas State Wildcats running back Deuce Vaughn (22) gets pushed out Iowa State Cyclones defensive back Jeremiah Cooper (19) during the third quarter at Jack Trice Stadium Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, in Ames, Iowa.
1. Iowa State vs. Kansas State (12 p.m. ET on ABC)
The slate of games for Week 0 is always lean and almost always the game in Ireland is the game of the day. This year that is no different, with a ranked matchup between the Cyclones and Wildcats. The winner of this game will get a big early season conference victory to jump start their path to the Big 12 title and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

2. Fresno State at Kansas (6:30 p.m. ET on FOX)
This should be an interesting game for both of these teams as we’ll get an indication of where both stand after relative down years last season. The Jayhawks are sizable favorites in this matchup, and it is the first game in their remodeled stadium so I would anticipate a Kansas victory, but the Bulldogs should at least put up a good fight to make it interesting into the second half.
3. Stanford at Hawaii (7:30 p.m. ET on CBS)
The final game of the day is out on the islands where Hawaii is a slight favorite over Stanford. The Cardinal are expected to be arguably one of the worst power four teams in the country this season so this is certainly a game where the Rainbow Warriors can earn a notable victory.
