ESPN’s “College GameDay” will be in Atlanta, Georgia, for the 2025 SEC championship between the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide. GameDay picked the SEC championship over other conference championship games including No. 1 Ohio State versus No. 2 Indiana (Big Ten) and No. 11 BYU versus No. 4 Texas Tech (Big 12).
GameDay is attending the SEC championship for the third year in a row and the fourth time in five years. Georgia is just 1-4 with GameDay attending the SEC championship during the Kirby Smart era (2-0 without GameDay).

During the regular season, GameDay attended five Big Ten campuses and five SEC campuses (does not include SEC championship). GameDay also attended a pair of ACC and Big 12 games this year.
Earlier this season, GameDay passed up the opportunity to attended the Georgia-Alabama game in September, which the Crimson Tide won 24-21. GameDay has attended one Georgia game this season. UGA won 43-35 at home against Ole Miss with GameDay in town. Alabama won 30-14 against Vanderbilt the one time GameDay attended a Crimson Tide game this season.
GameDay analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Rece Davis, Nick Saban, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee will be in Atlanta for the show. GameDay’s television coverage will begin at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 6.
