Colorado football’s biggest day in the transfer portal might be Saturday, January 17. Deion Sanders and the Buffs signed five transfers, bringing their total to 41 additions through the portal.
Notably, two defensive backs joined the fold in Utah’s Jason Stokes and Lamar’s Paul Omodia. Both are lanky, 6-foot-2 cornerbacks who project as outside corners for Colorado’s defense.

Omodia led the Southland Conference with 14 forced incompletions, in addition to totaling 57 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack. His performance earned him an All-Conference selection. Omodia will have two years of eligibility left.
Stokes, on the other hand, only just finished his true freshman season with the Utes. The 2025 three-star recruit played in 12 games, recording three tackles and one pass defended.
The two commits are the fourth- and fifth-cornerbacks the Buffs have added as the program looks to replenish its secondary.
