Colorado basketball improved to 4-0 on the 2025-26 season with a 94-66 win over Alabama State on Monday night.
After the game started close, Colorado broke the game open with a 23-3 run that went over nine minutes of game time. The Buffs eventually built a 29-point lead that they would never relinquish.

Junior forward Bangot Dak led Colorado with 16 points, seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals while hitting eight of his nine free throws. Forward Sebastian Rancik continued his hot start to the season, scoring 14 points and grabbing five rebounds.
Colorado’s star freshman trio, Isaiah Johnson, Alon Michaeli, and Josiah Sanders, each scored 10 points off the bench, showing the scoring depth Tad Boyle has brought to the team this year.
The Buffs finished with a season-best 20 assists and shot 53.6% from the field. Their offense has been the story so far this year, and after Monday’s victory, it is now ranked No. 58 in the country in net rating. On the backs of that offense, Colorado has improved its KenPom standing to No. 88 and its ESPN Basketball Power Index rank to No. 93 (up 13 spots).
The Buffs are back in action on Friday at 7:00 p.m. MT against UC Davis at the CU Events Center.
