The 2025-26 preseason Big 12 men’s basketball coaches poll was released on Thursday, and Colorado, unsurprisingly, was picked to finish second-to-last in the 16-team conference.
The Buffaloes are exactly where they were in last year’s poll: 15th, with the same 37 points. Tad Boyle’s squad is a young team coming off a challenging first season in the Big 12, during which the program lost all ten away contests and went 2-17 in conference play.

Throughout the offseason, during which the program spent time overseas in Australia, the team is more physical and primed to compete in one of the top conferences in college basketball.
