The Texas Tech women’s basketball team led by eight late in the third quarter but couldn’t pull off a rare win on Colorado’s home floor.
The Buffaloes stormed back for a 75-68 win Saturday at CU Events Center to pull into a tie with the Lady Raiders at 11-5 in Big 12 play. CU outscored Tech 22-9 in the fourth quarter.

The Buffaloes (20-8, 11-5) trailed 59-51, its largest deficit, with 2:07 left in the third quarter. They turned up the defense to improve to 7-1 at home in conference. CU is 14-2 overall in Boulder.
The Buffaloes have won five in a row and eight of their past nine games.
CU out-rebounded Tech 34-18, which included 17 offensive boards. The Buffaloes converted those into 17 second-chance points.
The Lady Raiders (24-5, 11-5) led 63-61 with 6:17 remaining, but a pair of Desiree Wooten free throws from a technical foul started an 8-0 run. Bailey Maupin hit a 3-pointer to bring Tech within one-point with 1:07 left, but CU answered with a bucket on the ensuing possession.

The Lady Raiders committed turnovers on back-to-back possessions in the final minute trailing 71-68.
Zyanna Walker led CU with 18 points, and Wooten added 16. Four total Buffs reached double figures.
Jalynn Bristow scored a team-high 18 points for Tech, shooting 5 of 6 from the field, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range. Snudda Collins added 13, and Maupin had 12. The Lady Raiders committed 18 turnovers, which CU converted into 27 points.

9:46 p.m. — CU leads 65-63 with 4:23 left. The Buffaloes have 15 second-chance points, including the go-ahead bucket.
9:30 p.m. — Tech leads 59-53 after three quarters. The Lady Raiders outscored CU 22-13 in the third period. Bristow missed her first shot but still has a game-high 16 points.
9:19 p.m. — Tech leads this back-and-forth affair 52-51 with a Sanogo free throw attempt pending.
9:14 p.m. — Tech takes a 48-47 lead on Bristow’s 3-pointer. She’s still perfect, 5 of 5 and 4 of 4 from deep for 16 points.

8:51 p.m. — Colorado leads 40-37 at halftime. As you’d imagine, the stats are pretty even as well. Both teams shooting well, but CU has a 16-8 rebounding edge, which includes 8 offensive boards.
8:36 p.m. — Colorado leads 29-27 with 6:43 until halftime. Wooten is up to 10 points for CU.
8:25 p.m. — Tech leads 23-19 after one quarter. Jalynn Bristow has started on fire, making 4 of 4 shots, including 3 of 3 from range.
