Former Colorado safety TJ Branch committed to UCF on Wednesday.
Branch announced he planned to enter the portal on December 16. He originally joined the program as a three-star recruit in the class of 2025, ranked specifically as the No. 75 safety and the No. 101 player from Florida.

The young safety did not see any game action in 2025 as he took his redshirt season. He showed out in the spring game, giving Buff Nation hope of a possible dominant safety pairing with Tawfiq Byard. That obviously will not happen with Byard landing at Texas A&M and Branch now in Orlando.
Branch joins the Knights with four years to play four. He’s currently ranked as the No. 1106 overall player and No. 107 safety in the portal, according to 247Sports.
Colorado, meanwhile, has commitments from multiple safeties: Naeten Mitchell (New Mexico State), Boo Carter (Tennessee), Randon Fontenette (Vanderbilt) and Jaydan Hardy (Oklahoma). Those four are part of a massive 35-player transfer portal haul that is likely not yet complete.
