David Blough has quickly risen through the ranks in Washington. The Washington Commanders have decided to hire Blough as their new offensive coordinator after his first season coaching the team, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Blough was hired assistant quarterback coach in February before finishing the season as QB coach after Tavita Pritchard was hired as the head football coach for Stanford University.

Blough will replace former Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who was fired after his second season with the team. Blough also received interested from the Detroit Lions for their offensive coordinator vacancy before the Commanders promotion.
