The last time Cory Sandhagen was in the octagon, he picked up one of the biggest wins of his career.
Back in May, Sandhagen took on former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo in the main event of UFC on ESPN 67. Sandhagen had fought four former UFC champions prior to Figueiredo, and had gone 1-3 with the only win being a KO victory over Frankie Edgar – who to many had already been past his best days at the time. Sandhagen rose to the occasion against Figueiredo, and scored a second-round TKO win. It was an impressive victory from “The Sandman.”

Sandhagen (18-5 MMA, 11-4 UFC) returns to the cage this Saturday in the co-main event of UFC 320 – which takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He takes on UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili (20-4 MMA, 13-2 UFC).
