Coveted transfer Tyree Adams visiting Kentucky Football

One of Will Stein’s biggest tasks this offseason in building his first Kentucky roster is rebuilding the offensive line.

With offensive guard Jalen Farmer declaring for the draft, who would have likely been an All-SEC pick as a senior, Kentucky is losing every starter on the offensive line from this past season. To make matters worse, there is little proven depth to fill those holes.

While the OL has been an area of weakness for the program in recent memory, this offseason, they are at even more of a disadvantage.

Meaning, the Wildcats will need to use the transfer portal to bridge the gap. One name to keep an eye on is Tyree Adams from LSU.

According to On3’s Sam Spiegelman, Adams is visiting Kentucky this weekend. Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Ohio State, and Oregon are also set to receive visits.

Standing 6-7, 310 pounds, Adams committed to the Tigers as a 4-star prospect in the 2023 class. In his time in Baton Rouge, Adams has allowed 0 sacks through 11 starts.

A redshirt junior, Adams could be more than a one-year rental, having two years of eligibility. He is currently ranked as the 10th-best offensive tackle transfer by 247 Sports.

This would be a massive pickup, and Kentucky certainly has a chance to get it done this weekend since he’s already on campus. However, the current expectation is that Adams will not commit this weekend and will take more visits, so this could take a week or two before a commitment is made.
