The Oregon Ducks are once again once of the prominent teams in college football. Part of why they keep reloading is due to their recruiting. A prime example of head coach Dan Lanning’s recruiting ability lies in true freshman wide receiver Dakorien Moore.

The wideout has 28 receptions for 443 yards and three touchdowns through the first eight games of the season. Moore leads the Ducks in receptions and receiving yards, proving to be a reliable target for quarterback Dante Moore, no relation.
Moore and the Ducks were preparing for a Week 11 Big Ten matchup against Iowa. It was reported Saturday ahead of the game that the wide receiver had suffered an injury in practice and his status was uncertain. He was later ruled out for the game.
Here is more on why Moore isn’t playing against Iowa.

Dakorien Moore injury update
There has been confusion surrounding Moore’s status leading up to the game. On3 had a now-deleted report that the injury was an ACL injury. Moore’s injury status didn’t come out until Saturday morning, hours before the game. Within two hours of Pete Thamel breaking the news that the wide receiver was questionable, Moore was subsequently ruled out for the game.

CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reports that the injury to Moore is not currently believed to be season-ending.
Oregon will now be without its top pass-catcher for the game, and tight end Kenyon Sadiq has also been listed as questionable, though he hasn’t been ruled out yet.
