Dallas Wings, Paige Bueckers Details Shooting Success After Loss to Dream originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
This season, the Dallas Wings have not been one of the better shooting teams in the WNBA.

They average 21.2 attempts per game and shoot the fourth-worst percentage in the league, although things seem to be on the up and up.
During Dallas’ 88-85 loss to the Atlanta Dream, the Wings shot much better, going 50 percent from deep.
While making half of their shots from distance isn’t sustainable, the Wings think they can keep improving from deep, finding easy ways to put points on the board.
“Ever since the All-Star break, we’ve been getting a lot better movement on offense and changing sides of the floor and getting open looks, reading with the defense,” outlined Paige Bueckers. “There’s a lot of pop 3s tonight, so we did a great job of knocking them down and then just reading if they go under, being aggressive, hunting those 3s, and taking great shots.”

Bueckers shot three of seven from deep, although she air-balled a heavily contested 3 in the final seconds that would have tied the game up. Alongside a solid shooting night from her, the Wings enjoyed 13 efficient points from Luisa Geiselsoder, who has been up and down all season, although she seems to have bounced back.
“Confidence of my teammates, honestly,” credited Luisa Geiselsöder. “Them telling me to shoot, them giving me the confidence, even if I’m, like, having one-off night or two-off nights in a row, like, to keep shooting that, to keep believing in my shot. And then also, like, I know I can make them.”
The Wings have fallen to 8-20 on the season and are firmly out of the playoff race, although for a young team on the rise, they are right where they were expected to be heading into the season.
